Jan. 27, Fri. 12:30pm Close Encounters with the Arts
We will meet at 12:30 at the Arcadia Cafe in the Phoenix Art Museum for lunch. At 2:00 we will have a private docent tour of the Fashion Institute's retrospective of the extraordinary ingenuity of American designer Giorgio di Sant’ Angelo. Sant’ Angelo’s notable three-decade career generated a wide array of collections, all of which were innovative for their pioneering use of stretch fabrics and powerful expression of the era. Featuring more than 40 ensembles and accessories, the exhibition spans the late 1960s through the early 1990s. Please call Carole Sobel at 480-946-2282 or email cesobel@gmail.com for reservations and the possibility of a free admission ticket. Senior price is $8.
